About Us:

I am new to the real estate business, but I have been involved in many aspects of it for a number of years.

I was born in Traverse City and went to school in Elk Rapids until 1986, when I moved with my family to the Seattle area. I finished high school, and then went to college in Seattle, where I was fortunate enough to attend the University of Washington. I graduated cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in the Classics. Immediately after graduation, my family and I moved back to northern Michigan to be closer to our family.

After a year in the Traverse City area I moved to Lansing to attend Michigan State University Law School. I graduated in 1999 and moved to Baltimore, Maryland where I was the Director of a national non-profit organization that worked diligently with the OJJDP in Washington DC to promote Youth Courts and Law Related Education in public schools.

After a couple years in the legal business, I decided to make a drastic change and left my position to go work for a very high-end art gallery just outside of Baltimore, with other galleries in Philadelphia and Bethesda. I worked with numerous celebrities and sports stars to put high-end art in their homes and businesses.

Several years later, I wanted a little adventure, and I decided to sell my home, and went to work as an art auctioneer on cruise ships in the Caribbean, Canada and Alaska. After a year at sea, I found my way to South Florida, and ended up working in the commercial art world, and picked up some inter decor clients along the way. Soon I was working with builders, architects, and home owners to help design their home and decor for the optimum art placement and ultimately the best sale price of the property.

About two years ago I had the opportunity to move my business back to northern Michigan to be closer to my family in the area. I jumped at the chance. After traveling around the world, there was still no other place I wanted to be more than here!

After moving here, I met Jules Yates, and he suggested I get my real estate license and join the Exit Team. So I took the plunge and am now lucky enough to call Exit Realty Paramount my new home. I still manage to handle some art consulting on the side, but Jules and the Exit Team keep me pretty busy!
