Paul Harford: homebuilder, designer and finance man
I am a nineteen year real estate financing veteran. Additionally, in that time I have owned my own real estate sales franchise but feel my strength is in the lending arena. With the advent of today's technology we are able to serve all of California seamlessly. We are also approved in fourteen (+) other states, but as in real estate sales, I'd rather refer a prospect to an area expert.
Graduating to real estate sales and finance was the culmination of twenty some odd years work building houses as a carpenter and building a custom cabinet business which expanded to include promotional interior design services for model homes up and down the state; A house has always been more than just a home to me!
I encourage my clients to be creative in all aspects of home ownership and enjoyment. I enjoy helping my Realtor base with tailored marketing plans,listing promotions and meeting their client's needs to get the escrow closed.

It is truly rewarding to help the first time home buyer clear that first big hurdle and more importantly understand all the financial benefits and responsibilities now before them.
My repeat client stats show that as these folks out-grow their homes or look to income property opportunities, they call me first to see how best to accomplish 'their next move' . I have to remind them that I am not a tax planner or financial advisor, but I can help them set the table with the right questions about capital gains or 1031 exchanges or for that matter just adjusting their W-4 deductions...
In recent years I've taken the California Certified Senior Advisor Courses and found that that has been equally fullfilling. While many folks look to complete home loan pay-off as a retirement goal, today's financial pressures have created a need for 'age appropriate' home loans like the reverse mortgage.
