About Frank
Born in Cuba and migrated to Miami in 1970 when I was just 5 years old I saw and lived how hard my parents worked to give me a good life. We were very fortunate and that taught me my morals and an excellent work ethic. I am so thankful for growing up in Miami and being able to have seen its change come about. I married at a young age and raised 3 wonderfull kids. My youngest is now graduating this year. Throughout the first years of my marriage I struggled like my parents did to get ahead and raise my family. Thanks to the example my father set I was able to do just that and by the grace of God I was introduced into the mortgage industry in 1993. It was very hard at the beginning but hard has never stopped me so within a year I was making a living in the business. I pride myself with hard work and the gut wrenching truth which sometimes hurts me and at first it was hard to tell my customers when something went wrong or they just did not qualify. Fortunately that is what sets me apart, I call it like it is and hide nothing. I have owned 2 mortgage companies since 1993 and now work with my wife of 22 years in our new office in the keys called Equity Options Corp. My first born Alex has grown up and moved to Tennessee with his fiance, my son David has joined the Navy and is currently serving our country and my daughter Amanda is still at home waiting to graduate to pursue her college carreer. With our kids all grown up we have time to travel and focus on our business. I always find some time for fishing and boating (A big thing here in the keys). I look foward to meeting new people and make new friends. My career history
My history in this business started when the products I was selling had rates of 12% and above. I worked for a lender that specialized in hard to do loans or what we now call subprime. It was very hard trying to sell a 12% loan or even 15% when everyone else was offering in the area of 8% but it definetely was a good training ground. These were loans to people who could not qualify so it made me an expert in the field. I was soon getting business from many other mortgage companies that could not close thier loans. Due to this training I have experience that many in my business do not. I did not just push paper to underwriters but explained why that person needed that loan and showed how they were going to pay it back. This is before all the B/C loan products were available. To this day I can still do loans that others can't. Our business has changed lots since then but the same principles apply. I look at every application as a challenge. Credit issues can be corrected and settlements with creditors are not hard to do. All the parties involved have to cooperate and that is the key to getting the job done right! Communication, cooperation and commitment almost always can get a loan done. Many loan officers look at credit and if it is not an A loan they don't want it. There are still many products such as FHA, seller held 2nd's and alternative credit and income that can help many qualify for a loan. I have spent 9 years managing the underwriting department finding ways to help borrowers obtain thier american dream. Due to that invaluable experience I can find ways of closing loans others can't. Due to my market, one of my specialties is jumbo loans. I really enjoy doing business with other professionals and meeting new people daily. I feel blessed to be able to help my customers acquire thier mortgage or dream home.
