We are a dual-veteran-owned business and we offer discounts to our Nation's Heroes:  AD/Guard/Reserve/Retired Military, FireFighters, Police Officers & Teachers.

We are an independently owned & operated franchise.  Our corporate headquarters is located in Omaha, Nebraska.  Founded in 1987, National Property Inspections, Inc. (NPI) is one of the oldest and most respected names in the home inspection and commercial building inspection business. NPI inspectors perform home inspections and commercial property inspections throughout the U.S. and Canada (in Canada, we operate  as Global Property Inspections (GPI).

In the State of Wyoming, real estate transactions do not require inspections.  While your mortgage or insurance company may require a roof inspection, the State does not dictate this.  Why is this important??  Because when a person is doing research on prospective service providers (regardless of the service), they tend to look for wording like "licensed and insured".  In the State of Wyoming, there are no licensing criteria for Home Inspectors.  If a Home Inspection business owner lists "licensed" in their description, it just means that they carry a business license from the state...it has nothing to do with their ability (or inability) to perform home inspections in the state.  We are certified & we carry both E & O and liability insurance, but we are not licensed.  We've personally recommended licensing to State representatives--no luck yet.

We are members of InterNACHI (The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors).  InterNACHI is the world's most elite, non-profit inspection association. Our home buying clients enjoy the professionalism only InterNACHI Certified Inspectors can provide. Our inspectors have all successfully passed InterNACHI's Inspector Examination, taken a Standards of Practice Quiz, completed a Code of Ethics Course, adhere to Standards of Practice, abide by a Code of Ethics, attend required continuing education courses, and are InterNACHI Certified.

In 2010, we both became certified in Building Science Infrared Thermography through the Infrared Training Center, FLIR Systems, Inc. Boston.  We have only just recently began incorporating this element into our business and we look forward to providing this invaluable service to our clients.

We are an Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau and we belong to the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.  We are also an Associate Member of the Cheyenne Board of Realtors.

NPI's gold seal focuses on 3 very important traits:  honesty, integrity, professionalism.  These are not just words to us...they are the guiding principles that we apply every day in our business.  We want our clients to refer their friends, family, co-workers, etc to us.  Much of our business comes by word-of-mouth from clients whom we've worked with.  That doesn't happen if you don't take care of your customers.  Please visit Our Reviews for comments from our satisfied customers!

We know that home buyers are often wary about spending too much during the buying process.  While we highly recommend a complete inspection, we do offer partial inspections:  electrical, plumbing, roof, foundation, structural.

Our pricing is based upon square footage of the home, age of the home, % finish of basement, and complexity of mechanical systems.  We feel that the price that a buyer pays for our services is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that they gain from knowing what they're buying before they sign.  Here's a quote from the page of a realtor that we deal with:  "Get inspected. The last thing you want to discover after you have bought a home is that you have purchased a "money pit". By "money pit" I am referring to a home that is full of defects that are going to end up costing you a lot of money. Save yourself a lot of time in future litigation and renovation by bringing in a [licensed] home inspector before you buy. If any problems are found it will steer you away from a bad decision or help you negotiate a better price."

Our Radon testing is done with a continuous radon monitor.  The unit is placed in the home for a period of 48 hours.  At the end of the testing period, we are able to tell the client on the spot what the average radon level is in the home.  The computer-generated report that we provide shows not only the average reading but also shows the level at every hour during the test.  We could tell you more about Radon, but that would take up too much space here.  We encourage our clients and those who represent them to visit the EPA website for more information www.EPA.gov/radon

"There are no termites in Wyoming".  You may have heard this before but don't believe it.  While they are less prevalent than in other parts of the country, they DO EXIST.
