Imperial Valleyis the last County south of California, we are in a perfect location, we are a border to Yuma Arizona, and to Mexicali, Mexico.  You can take a beautiful scenic drive west and in about 100 miles you are kissing the air of the infamous city of San Diego.  If you decide to take the north route you will drive in to Coachella Valley, and it's beautiful desert city shops, casinos, and endless fields of grape vines.

When I first got married my husband and I questioned where we should lay our seeds. Why stay in the valley? Sure we had an itch to explore other avenues. we where both young.  The question remained as a constant itch, until  our first child was born. It was then when we knew it. It was because of him we wanted to stay in Imperial County.  I wanted my kids to have a great childhood, to run around with out a care in the world. To talk and get to know anyone and everyone in our neighborhood. To have their kinder garden friend become their best friend in high school. To me these things help children stay young, and innorient.  I wanted them to grow big, but only when the time came not before.

For me that is what Imperial Valley is all about, a great family neighborhood with a positive atmosphere, great values and a great place where your kids can grow up in. Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying we are in Disney World!  Of course, just like any other place we have our shares of crime, politics, gas, housing and economy issues on the local headlines every now and then.  However if you look closely, our local headlines have published more positives, on a yearly basis than any other newspaper probably does on a monthly or even daily  basis.

As far as our weather, well that is a big debate if you like it and survive thru the month of August, you will learn to love it. Yes I won't lie we are HOT super Hot in the summer.  Sometimes up to 120 degrees.  But we are in CALIFORNIA, what do you expect! If you look at it with a positive view, we never need an excuse to BBQ.  We always have great weather!!
