Ed Bailey Realty - For The “Extra Mile” Marketing Relationship
Few Real Estate Practitioners anywhere have the depth and breadth of education and experience that Ed brings to the profession. Ed started his Real Estate Experience in 1976 when he became a Real Property Right-of-Way Agent with Sierra Telephone. For the next 24 years he purchased land and leases; procured easements and rights-of-way; and obtained permits from various government agencies at national, state, county, and district levels. He partioned land, wrote legal descriptions, drafted documents, and coordinated activities with Land Surveyors, Title/Escrow Officers, Developers, Builders, Contractors, Public Officials, Appraisers, Attorneys, Engineers, Agents, Brokers, and other land services professionals.
In 2005 Ed completed 6 additional college and college level courses and upgraded from a "Salesperson" license to a "Broker" license, by passing California's longer and more challenging broker's exam. He served as Education Committee Chairman for the Yosemite Gateway Association of REALTORS® for 2006 and 2007, and Director for 2010-2011. He is once again a driector for 2013-2014. Ed holds the Prestigous Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) professional designation. He serves as a SCORE volunteer Small Business Consultant. He is a part time Real Estate teacher for State Center Copmmunity College District.
In May, 2011 Ed went Independent, forming the Ed Bailey Realty agency, and in September, 2012 his wife Shirley became a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and joined the team.
Ed graduated from Antelope Valley College with a major in Business Administration. He also holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of San Francisco. In former lives, Ed has been an Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance Teacher, a Retail Store Manager, a Radio Announcer/Engineer, a Retail Business Owner, and an Advertising Account Executive.
He has lived in our beautiful mountains since 1972 and, having spent 24 years as a Right-of-Way Agent/Outside Plant Engineer with Sierra Telephone, knows the area extremely well.
Ed Bailey's Blog Posts
It is not his goal to be a top volume producer or a top earner. His focus instead is to be a top quality producer - to be the best real estate professional that he can possibly be. He will never take on more clients than he can service at the highest quality level. Buying or selling a home is not like buying or selling a used vacuum cleaner at a yard sale. It is a big deal. It is, in most cases, the largest financial commitemnt of one's lifetime. You deserve the services of a proven Real Estate Professional who will spend enough time to make sure that everything is done right, and with ethical business practices.
