Get to Know Elizabeth King

After 10 years of being CEO of my household, I jumped into real estate so I could spend more time with my husband and help establish our new company.  With just over 7 million in volume in this last year, I am a full time consultant who loves what she does and feels privledged to be able to do what I do.  I love this industry.  Where else, could I share a desk with my husband, be able to make my own schedule, and make a living spending time with old friends and making new ones?  More about my company at www.kingrealtygroup.net

I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1995 with a degree in Retail Marketing.  After co-managing my family's communications company, I began my new job as a stay-at-home mom.  If anything in this world can prepare you for the role as a Realtor, and handling all the issues that come with it, being a mother does!  I could teach a class in multi-tasking, I wrote the book on handling stubborn children, being "on-call" 24 hours a day, and don't even get me started on my negotiating skills.  I am currently a member of the Council of Residential Specialists and have earned the ABR designation.  My husband and I faithfully attend NAR covention each year, as well as our state convention.  To learn more about me visit my website at www.kingrealtygroup.net

The Region's scenic beauty is a hallmark of our quality of life, but is certainly not its only outstanding asset. Fort Smith is also noted for the strong work ethic of its citizens, the clean and progressive industry that drives the economy, a burgeoning tourism trade, a thriving business and retail base and a strong agricultural tradition. Our diverse and stable economic base prospers because of abundant natural resources, an educated workforce, professional medical facilities, award-winning schools, outstanding transportation network and quality of life.

With some of the finest lakes and mountains in the country in our backyard, families can savor the life they build here. Whether you like shopping at the malls, attending concerts, visiting museums, world-class libraries, enjoying the cuisine at some of the finest and most unique restaurants in the nation, fishing or swimming in beautiful clean lakes and streams or playing in our many parks, it's all readily available in the Fort Smith Region. But best of all, it's a safe and fun place to live and raise a family without all the costs and concerns of larger cities.

Fort Smith enjoys a temperate climate with generally mild winters and hot, humid summers. Winter daytime highs average near 50 degrees while summer highs often top 90 degrees. Fort Smith is situated near an area known as Tornado Alley in the central United States. The city has been struck by three major tornadoes which occurred in the years of 1898, 1927 and 1996.
