I'm a certified luxury home specialist, using innovative, dynamic marketing strategies to get listings sold, while enthusiastically providing my clients with a positive experience and maintaining their privacy. I work mostly by referral and am very grateful for reommendations from prior clients.

On a personal note, I am a wife and (empty nest) mother of two kids in college. I practice yoga several times per week and enjoy cooking, reading, and travel for work and for pleasure. Giving back to the communities I serve has always been important. I've served as a member of Many Hands charity, a Board Member in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chevy Chase, MD, former chair of the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Monuments Lunch, and volunteer in my children’s schools, I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with great people at Compass and to help others.

| We had had our home on the market a couple of times with other agents and not had any luck - using Ellie Shorb this time around was the best decision we every made! Ellie found great buyers for our $2.2M home, all within the first week or so of being on the market. Ellie grew up in the area and has a vast network of colleagues, friends, and professional contacts which is key. Ellie also has a great sense of style and so was able to help us with 'staging' our home. We have now also bought a small condo ($190k and less than 500 sq ft!) and Ellie was extremely helpful in sorting out all aspects of the negotiations and transaction details - she even helped the property owner clarify the transaction from his side and helped speed things up for him. | Ellie went the extra mile on delivering TOPA documents and working with our tenants to show the condo and make the deal happen within a remarkable time frame. She used technology to have us sign the documents remotely and in general made this a hassle free experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs to sell a property- either a house or a condo. |

| Our house had been on the market for a long time, with very little interest. We switched agents and asked Ellie Shorb to help. She was creative, helpful, and pro-active. Ellie recommended an appropriate selling price, made staging suggestions, organized a delightful open house 'cocktail hour', and arranged for our house to be featured in an article in the Baltimore Sun. | I highly recommend Ellie. She made time for me and rearranged her schedule on very short notice when I contacted her to help me look at homes in Bethesda. We had a difficult closing process, including our being out of the country during an especially critical time, and Ellie was extremely helpful. She had excellent suggestions for staging. The day that the movers came to move stuff into storage, Ellie was there the first thing with Starbucks and a smile and spent the whole day packing and assisting with the movers (which she found). We worked with her to sell my mother's home of 63 years in Chevy Chase after a fall forced her to move. As we live in Minnesota, we had the added challenge of doing this from afar and during weekend visits. Ellie was amazing as she oversaw the preparation of getting the house ready - from painters, repairs, donation of items, cleaning, staging - and she was honest in her appraisal of what needed to be done. | Ellie came into our lives at a very stressful time. My husband was very ill. He needed full time attention and was not able to participate in decision making about the sale. We were selling a unique property with 3 acres of gardens which had been the family home for over 45 years. The market for sellers was improving but still very tricky. Our window of opportunity was not extensive because the property was best marketed when the gardens were in peak form. Ellie handled this entire situation with great professionalism, tireless efforts, great imagination, wonderful attention to detail, and calm in the middle of my uncertainty and tension.
