In 1999 I purchased my first investment property,  a small cabin with a detached apartment near Lake Cashiers. It was a learning curve and quite an experience to say the least. Through this hands on experience, I realized that I had a great interest in Real Estate yet had a lot to learn.

After this project , I decided to get my Real Estate License to expand my knowledge and explore other options in this Industry. Once licensed, I worked out of a small office for a while. After getting my feet wet in the market, I realized it was time to start my own firm.

I put my hands on knowledge of home rehabilitation ( 8 total homes ) as well as the  knowledge of the local market to work.

I opened up my firm in 2000 and grew it to 6 agents and 3 office staff.  I was instrumental in pioneering non-traditional real estate brokerage in the Asheville market. Thinking "outside the box" is my specialty and was nationally recognized as a valuable service.  After many years of long hours and hard work, I realized that I preferred working with clients rather than running a firm.

After 6 years of operation, I shut down my downtown office and returned to my home office continuing to work with my clients on a one on one basis, helping to meet their needs. During this time I was also actively  marketing one of Asheville's first totally  "Green " subdivision of 27 Eco friendly homes. 

In 2008 I sold my firm and worked with a handful of clients and taking a much needed "break" as the market was unpredictable and rapidly changing . In 2010 I joined a local vacation rental company to help establish their sales department and work with Buyers and Sellers specifically interested in vacation rentals and second homes. 

I take all that experience with me on my newest venture with Remax. Combining local expertise with the most well known leader in the Industry has been a great fit and benefit to my clients.
