Get to know Jim Miller
Born and raised in Nebraska, Jim came to Chicago real estate in the late 1990s with Heartland values, a passion for excellence and a full portfolio of customer service skills. He grew up in a family of builders and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration. Fresh out of college, he worked in the call center management/customer service industry, providing third-party customer service and marketing support for premier companies such at AT&T, Costco, American Express, Allstate and GE. But sawdust was in his blood, and when a Chicago condo developer who had sold Jim a unit began recruiting him to join his sales team, Jim followed his passion. He left the customer service industry behind and, over the past 13 years, has developed an expertise in urban real estate that brings unparalleled service to buyers, sellers and developers. Jim first worked with one of Chicago ’s largest north-side builders, before joining the CRF Marketing Team at Koenig and Strey in 2007. In August of 2008, he joined the new Jameson and now leads a small group of agents committed to developing "referrable" relationships with his brokerage clients and developers. The majority of his business is from referrals and past clients. Developers come to him for his expertise in new construction sales and marketing, land acquisition and project cost/profit analysis. Jim knows that purchasing or selling a home is both a financial and emotional decision, and he provides clients with market intelligence and product knowledge to help them understand the process so they can make smart decisions. Jim believes in a referral- based business approach, and takes his commitment to each client’s satisfaction personally. Jim knows the downtown markets, has lived in Old Town and Lincoln Park, purchased and customized condos, and built a single family home, where he lives with his wife and young family.

"Jim Miller has been a most excellent contributor to me and my family when challenged with buying a new and selling a home. I can say this from experience! This past spring I was laid-off and challenged with either relocating for a new job or perhaps selling my home and moving to another. Jim presented all options to me from renting my existing home to helping me prepare my home for sale (just in case).
Jim visited my home and helped my wife and I with inexpensive recommendations that would really help the house sell faster and make it more appealing. Jim's great network of resources for home improvements from painting, molding, and inspections where most helpful and allowed us stay well within our budget. The inspector assessed our home and helped us with some necessary repairs that we could be proactive with so that upon selling, these simple preventions would not prolong the process.

I have worked with other realtors in the past and never before have I had the experience with them as I have had with Jim Miller. Jim checks in from time to time to find out how my employment search is going and to let him know if there is anything he can do to assist me.
I have had a lot of positive activity on the job front and hope to put this situation behind me in the near future.
