So..how do you go about choosing an agent?? Do you pick the first agent you meet? Do you interview a few??Let me tell you a little secret, we agents don't make any money, if you don't buy or sell a home...Okay, so what's the secret there??
In translation, whoever you hire, you have to TRUST that they are going to work in YOUR best interest, (not let you buy just any home, because there is a paycheck at the end of that rainbow or over price your home because that's what you want to hear) EVEN when YOUR best interest, isn't theirs... What does it all mean Kon....? You are entering into a relationship!! Make sure it is with someone who you connect with!
Well...work with an agent who tells you like it is. I know tough to take, but in the end, it will be the best thing you can do and, by the way, be loyal to whoever you choose..we agents work hard.....so if you have the good fortune of working with an agent who is up front, protects your best interests, and works their hind parts off....you gotta keeper..
Which leads me, of course, to a commercial about...well.....ME... I consider myself to be honest, that has gotten me in trouble on a RARE occassion (some people "CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH" :) it is a curse an overdeveloped conscience. Every home I look at with a buyer, I look at it as an investment..so I am always honest about the postive and negative features of the home. Every seller I work with, I focus on the task at hand, selling their home for the most amount of money in the least amount of time.
Sellers... If you want to list your home for sale... I won't give you an inflated price of what your home will sell for. It may get me the listing...but it won't sell your house. Don't hire the agent who gives you the highest price, or tells you your house is wonderful, when it has issues...Okay there it is...the world According to Konnie......if this hasn't scared you..and you are looking for an agent...give me a call... 703 407 7088 (that's my cell, I aways have it with me)In this day and age, with real estate "Teams" or "Groups" that deal with clients, the personal touch gets lost.I have a support staff, when you callme me, you don't get my assistant, you get me!
I've read a lot of agent bios...and it really is hard to convey, to a complete stranger...who is reading this, what a great agent you are.
My philosophy is pretty simple. I focus on the fundamentals of Real Estate. For my sellers that means telling them what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. For my buyers, it means keeping them focused on their goals and within their budget. The concept of selling a home is a very simple one. Some agents make it sound more complicated than it is. For me...I am selling my time, energy and effort, not fluff....I work very hard for all my clients....I absolutely love what I do! I look at it this way....how do I expect to be treated? ...and that's how I run my business. (I know corny again.. maybe....but it's the truth.)

But.....If it doesn't ....I'm not going anywhere, and I'm here to help. If you want to list your home for sale Hire a Professional Real Estate Agent qualified, competent real estate agent will help you navigate the myriad of decisions that arise when buying and selling a home.
An agent provides value to the homeowner in many ways: Pays for all marketing and advertising costs. Adds experience and expertise in all aspects of the sales process including marketing, financing, negotiations and more.Handles all showings. Brings a network of known, trusted real estate professionals. If your agent doesn't have the answer, he or she likely knows someone who does. Always has your interests in mind so you always have someone on your side. Can handle and advise on all price and contract negotiations.
Provides you with all the possible options and opportunities without holding back. Gives an unbiased, realistic view of your home and your options. Unlike buyers and sellers, an agent has no emotional attachment to property. Has the knowledge to help you ask the right questions. Being a third party, potential buyers are more likely to tell your agent the truth about your home, even if it is unflattering. This objective viewpoint will help you make the necessary changes to get your home sold. Your time is valuable. A real estate agent allows you to spend your time how you want.
