I, to my own complete surprise, began my real estate career in 2004, after taking a break from my 15 year career in management, human resources and troubleshooting, to spend more quality time with my three boys who were in their teens and/or soon to be in their teens.
Growing up in the midwest with a father who invested in commercial real estate and "for fun" on the week ends took me out to show me all about "location, location, location," being a broker was really not far from my roots.
I soon realized that real estate was a perfect match for me and began to extend my knowledge by training in foreclosures, short sales and becoming a broker to ensure I was on top of my game in an ever changing market.
Today I have joined forces with my son, Miles Manter in my quest for excellence. I'm confident that we as a team can take better care of my clients needs in the Lamorinda (Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda) and surrounding areas; such as, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Martinez.
What do I do for fun??? I work. Aside from that I love to cook, am currently trying out Bikram Yoga - ouch, drinking "green smoothies" who I can blame Kimberly Snyder for, and spend time with my family and friends.
I am in hopes to go back to school to get a degree in design within the next year. We will see.
Finally and dear to my heart is my new endeavor of giving back to the communities we so dearly depend on. My goal is to highlight young people who through their actions make the community we live in a better place. I am joining up with local business owners to create a foundation to highlight these good deeds in local papers and more importantly give to the charitable organizations we depend on some dough. Soon to be launched is "Heart and Soul.Me." If you too want to get involved in making our community what it should be, that would be great.

About my Business
I have joined forces with my son, Miles Manter to better serve my clients. We have an escrow coordinator and a team of competent people to take care of all our clients needs. Having a team has really helped free me up to devote more quality time to my clients.
I currently divide my time between listings and buyers -- another good reason to have a team: )
In addition to my regular business - helping home owners sell and first time home owners and buyers who are moving up or out, I work for OneWest Bank, LLC and handle bank owned properties. I also do short sales for those clients who need to sell their home and find themselves like so many others upside down. I am a Certified Distressed Property Expert and stay on top of the latest news and legal changes in the area. I especially enjoy staging high end listings, marketing them and negotiating the contract. My mother taught me something valuable, "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," which I use in my day to day practice. Even when it comes to negotiating this stands true. I work very hard to ensure my clients get the best possibility deal and take great pride in making this true each and every transaction.
Lastly, buyers who are moving to the area or moving up, benefit greatly from 20 years in the area. What a thrill it is when you find the right home, negotiate the deal and your clients are finally moving in. This is the best!!!
