Welcome to Jacksonville, and  Home of the Future Super Bowl Champions, Jacksonville Jaguars! (OK OK, maybe not in my lifetime, but someday.) I earned my Real Estate license back in June of 2006, but let it expire and went back in to the Contract Glazing industry (more on that later). Can you say timing is everything?

After another four year stint at contract glazing, I found myself looking for other work and decided I wanted to help others promote their businesses online. HINT: I have the secret sauce that get get companies noticed online. I'm really surprised how many people don't know how to get found on at least the first three pages of the major search engines. If you're not showing up on the first three pages of Google, Yahoo, or Bing. Then you have less that a 50% chance of being found.

Ok, so my previous back ground comes from the construction industry where I was very successful in the contract glazing industry.  Sales and estimating for over 30 years was my specialty.  In my last job, my old boss use to complain about employee loyalty to the company.  We had a huge lack of motivation with our labor force, although I did the best I could to keep the guys happy on my side of things by keeping them at work.  What is funny is about the loyalty the boss spoke of.  I worked with them for just a little over 3 years when out of the, blue they fired me 2 weeks before Christmas, and then, 2 days after Christmas, the asked me to come back to work.  The funny thing was right around Thanksgiving, they had just reinstated Christmas bonuses.   Before you ask, NO, they didn't offer to give me the bonus if I came back to work, but they did offer to pay me the exact same salary I had been making for the previous 3 years in a "temporary new position as a service manager."  (Oh, by the way, $31,000 a year is less than half of what most sales people make in this line of business.) I had decided then I would not let anyone else control my life.  This was the first job I was ever fired from.  It broke my spirit but not my heart.

I admit I have a lot to learn, and I seek guidance everywhere I can.  I am honest and truthful even if what I inform clients of might kill a deal.  I don't believe in guerrilla marketing tactics to make a sale or listing.  I believe in things I have learned from books I have read from authors such as Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Zig Zigglar and many others. Maybe that's why my old real estate business was slow, but I always want to treat people the way I would like to be treated.

Now that I'm my own boss in video marketing, I plan to go for my Real Estate Brokers license and now that I know how to really promote businesses, I'd say I'll probably be out selling most agents and brokers about 4 to 1.
