Was A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) For Children
10/04/2013
Mickey was one of the original four advocates who started the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program in Caroline County, Maryland. The CASA organization helps (advocates for) children who are placed in foster care. CASA members are appointed directly by a court to advocate on behalf of a child. Once the advocate is assigned to help a child the advocate stays in regular contact with that kid the entire time that the kid is in the foster home. If you have some free time and you like to help children and you think you have what it takes, or if you would like to make a donation, I encourage you to talk with or visit, your local CASA office. For Caroline County, Maryland, visit www.carolinecasa.org For more detailed information about the national CASA organization visit www.casaforchildren.org
