Hello, I am Michael Mahoney, a full-time residential real estate agent with Keller Williams who has been serving the Greater Boston area as a licensed Realtor for nearly 15 years. I enjoy my ability to work in the outdoor field and help people find their new home each day.
I studied Sociology at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, but I was saddled with student debt. To help defray the costs of college, I signed up for a 6 year enlistment in an infantry unit of the Army Reserve. In serving in the Reserve and spending a summer in Fort Benning, Georgia, I was able to pay for my education and acquire the tenacity I use in my job and everyday life.
In order to take on a more active leadership role, I graduated from the officer candidate school as an infantry lieutenant and was also appointed to be a rifle platoon leader. In leading, I was granted the opportunity to learn more about what drives others and how to inspire others to create a stronger ethos and a higher degree of personal accountability.
While waiting to hear back from Fort Benning about taking more advanced training, I ended up taking a job as a computer technician at EMC in Hopkinton, MA. This position set me up for a career in the high tech industry. I then worked as a sales engineer for Boston-based high tech companies until I was encouraged to enter the real estate business after the economic decline of the early 2000’s.
I took the real estate class in December 2001 while facing the challenges of a new daughter and stifling car and mortgage payments. Soon after I began working at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, my career took off, and the rest has been history. I have sold over 225 homes to date.
Being a Boston native my entire life and having worked in the real estate business in the era for a decade and a half, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise about buying and selling real estate here in the Greater Boston area. My success is not only founded in the persistence I acquired in my academic and Army Reserve career, but also in the devotional loyalty I supply to each and every one of my customers. Additionally, I have experience selling homes in various price ranges, styles, and layouts. Whether I am hired to work as a buyer’s agent or to sell a home, I work unconditionally and around the clock. If looking for experience, expertise, and attention to detail, I am the right Greater Boston Realtor to serve your needs.
I currently live in Norfolk, MA with my wonderful wife and two school-age children. I also serve as the Vice President of Education for my chapter of Toastmasters International, a public speaking organization. I bring the same initiative to Toastmasters that I bring to my career and in everything I do in my life. I look forward to working with you in the future and helping the people of the Greater Boston community find the homes of their dreams.
