Get to Know Sandra Hopkins

I understand how intimidating the home buying and selling process can be, and I want to make it as enjoyable and stress-free as possible for each of my clients. As your Agent I will work for you, safeguarding your interests, negotiating prices, arranging financing, and managing the closing.   I will listen closely to your needs. I am friendly, honest, outgoing and dependable.  My ultimate goal is to deliver the finest customer service possible.

I service buyers and sellers looking for single family, townhomes, condos, new home sales and re-sales for first time homebuyers, move up buyers and buyers wanting to downsize.  I also service relocation clients.

I am licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania serving:  the Baltimore Metro area in Maryland and York, Adams and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania.

I am a lifetime resident of Harford County.  I am married and together we have 6 children and 10 grandchildren.  I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, golf, scrapbooking and spending time with my family.

Certifications

I am a member of The National Association of Realtors, The Maryland Association of Realtors, The Harford County Association of Realtors - Maryland, The Realtor Association of York & Adams County (RAYAC) - Pennsylvania, The Million Dollar Realtors Association of Harford County and the Womens Council of Realtors Harford County Network.

I believe that Training and Education are very important in the real estate business and are expected, if not demanded by today's savy buyers and sellers.  Below you will find an explanation of the designations and accreditations I have earned over the course of my real estate career:

GRI -- Graduate, Realtor Institute is a professional designation for those who have graduated from the Realtor Institute, also associated with the National Association of Realtors. REALTORS with this designation have completed a comprehensive education program in residential real estate.  When you buy your new home use a GRI.

ABR - Earning the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representitive) certification early in my career was essential because I believe strongly in consumer advocacy and making sure someone was looking out for the buyer's fiduciary interest just as the seller has a listing agent to look out for theirs.  This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYERS AGENT Council (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.

MRP - The MRP (Military Relocation Professional) is another designation offered by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.  The MRP certification program educates REALTORS® about working with U.S. service members and their families and veterans to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and to take full advantage of available benefits and support.  Having a son in the military and living so closely to Aberdeen Proving Ground, I felt this would be helpful in me serving the military community.

PMN - The PMN (Performance Management Network) designation is awarded to Woman's Council of REALTOR® members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® that provides powerful professional training to help build leadership training qualities and are focused on keeping my business out front and on top of an ever-changing market.

SFR - The SFR (Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource) certification was very important due to the overwhelming foreclosures/short sales we have experienced over the past few years.  The SFR focuses on helping homeowners who are in hardship situations and owe more on their homes than the value in today's market. Short sales are a major challenge in today's marketplace, and knowing what to do to protect client's interests is key. If YOU have or may be getting to, a hardship situation with your home, please don't wait - get some guidance right away so you know what your options are. And be sure to talk with your lender before your situation gets worse!

SRES - The SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) certification is very timely based on the amount of baby boomers that will be retiring over he next several years.  This has provded the education needed to service the senior population.  SRES designees demonstrate requisite knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through the major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing or selling a home.

I am very excited about the various skills, techniques and strategies that I have to offer my clients to better serve their needs in our increasingly challenging and competitive market.

I hold an Associate Brokers license in the state of Maryland and Brokers license in the state of Pennsylvania.
