2016 Up-date: Hi all, I retired in 2015 after 7 years of staging properties!  All in all..... it was a wonderful, busy seven years and I have no regrets.  We staged 500+ properties and it was time to either start over with all new furnishings and extend the warehouse lease for another 3 years or retire and become a ceramist/potter.  Pottery won and I am having a blast playing with clay!

I never did the rental furniture route but at one time had up to an 8,000 sq foot warehouse full of furnishings, A helper, 2 movers and a 24 foot box truck. Lot's of work, paperwork, payroll, insurance, ect ect but wow did I learn a lot and had fun doing it. Thank you for all your help, advice and ideas fellow stagers. Thanks to my employees whom I couldn't have done without and special thanks to my clients.  I had the same invenstors and realtors for seven years. Keep them happy instead of searching for new business all the time was my motto!  It worked.  Good luck and best wishes to all who want to give it a go!  It can work.
