Rene has been a leading participant of the evolving social web environment since its inception. He started his career in the title insurance industry in the mid 1980's and through numerous roles over the years he has been a consistent innovator of new and emerging technologies and marketing programs for real estate professionals.
He was one of the very first to develop a title industry hosted web portal for real estate agents and brokers called WebDesk (1996) and pioneered data driven statistical neighborhood profiles like the RTS (residential transaction study) that analyzed historical home sales trends and forecasted niche farming opportunities and projected current and future home values.
In 2010 Rene turned his career focus back to one of his life long passions, education. As a certified instructor in Washington and Alaska he teaches new media marketing for the First American Title Real Estate School. He gives several popular clock hour classes and workshops including Real Estate in the Social Age, Are You Visible in the 21st Century Phonebook, Mobile Communication Boot Camp, and he’s a frequent guest speaker in the Pacific Northwest on social media marketing for business, web presence development, personal brand development, prospecting strategies and best practices for entrepreneurs who focus their marketing strategies online.
As he travels throughout the region you’ll often find him out and about and sharing coworkers, clients, friends, and small businesses. He loves exploring the community with his trusty iPhone, always on the lookout for stories about the people and places that are the wonderful fabric of life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
