After graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts, Barry served with the U.S. Army as a platoon leader, executive officer, personnel officer, company commander and logistics officer. His last two years in the Army were spent planning media and advertising for the Army's Reserve Officers Training Corps for college campuses west of the Mississippi River. This marketing experience prompted him to earn his M.B.A. in Marketing through City University's Executive Program.
