About Me and How Did I Get Here?
Well ~~~~waves~~~~~ it all happened ~~~~~more waves~~~~~ a long long time ago, in a land far far away.... Well not really, more like 400 miles south in Pasadena, California, this is where I grew up and still have family and friends.
After I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in '92, I found myself floating in the Bering Sea and working as a fisheries biologist for NOAA. Great experience, but not really for me as a career. In '96 I found myself drawn back to Boulder, where I met my wife and lived the idyllic lifestyle for awhile.
That is until we moved to Taipei, Taiwan. This was our first year of marriage and will live where? The move was the hardest thing we have ever done, and worth every minute.
I worked for a private equity investment group and essentially helped create strategic partnerships for US and Australian technology companies who were looking for manufacturing partnerships along with venture capital funding.
We left Taiwan back in 2000 and relocated to San Francisco. I worked at Silicon Valley Bank for a short stint and decided a large corporate environment was not for me. Too entrepreneurial I guess. So I decided to get my real estate license and go to work at Prudential California Realty. I did so until I received my broker's license and incorporated Spinnaker in '08.
In my professional life I'm a Realtor working with buyers and sellers, a managing broker overseeing my team of agents, apartment building investor and a business owner. I take pride in my work and it think it shows.
In my personal life, I'm married to the woman of my dreams and blessed with 3 beautiful kids. Now that the kids are out of diapers I'm thinking about racing cars up in Sonoma and sailing as the next big hobby.
San Francisco Real Estate:
Having started in San Francisco and by understanding the unique nuances in our marketplace, we can better assist buyers and property owners, both residential owners and investors, with TIC's & Condo Conversions, advise on Rent Control and Tenant Evictions, and with solid hard work to get the job done right.
Our agents cover San Francisco's different and sometimes complex types of real estate transactions, from Single Family Homes, Condominium and Tenancy in Common (TIC) , to Multi-Tenant Residential, Mixed Use, Commercial properties and Lots.
San Francisco is a very diverse marketplace comprised of many different neighborhoods, each with their unique characteristics and conveniences. Having a solid understanding of a particular neighborhood, a specific street and development complex, puts you in a position where when you begin to view individual properties, you can do so in an overall context of the market segments from which you are selecting.
If you do not have hands-on knowledge of an area as you begin to view properties, it makes sense to consult with an experienced advisor that can educate you as to the nuances of each area within the city and specific properties.
We seek to provide expert advice and strategic marketing services on:
Single Family Homes Condominiums TIC's (tenant-in-common)
We are here to help you become informed enough to make educated judgments and decisions regarding neighborhood selection, types of property available and what makes the most sense for you and your family. Our goal is to lay out many of the practical issues relating to finding, offering, and closing on your next home.
Multi-unit Income Property:
Multi-Family Residential properties offer many compelling reasons for investment, especially in today's hot rental market. Shelter is one of the necessities of life, and as Americans shift back to a more sustainable lifestyles, we see apartment buildings starting to make more financial sense.
Apartments traditionally keep up with inflation better than other forms of real estate and offer the owner greater economies of scale and stability by placing multiple streams of income under one roof.
Spinnaker has partnered with Steele Properties to offer clients a full range of services not typically found bundled together.
