In 2015, Builder listed Raleigh as one of the Top 5 Hottest US Housing Markets, and CoreLogic seems to agree, putting Raleigh up at the 2nd spot for Most Active Housing for New Homes. This success was preceded by a relatively unaffected housing market during the 2008 economic crisis, and recognized by Forbes, naming it a "Recession Proof" City.
