I have resided in Jackson County, NC since 1990 following a 3 year enlistment in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division.  I moved to the area to attend Western Carolina University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the summer of 1994.  I spent some time in the insurance industry from 1993 to 1995.  I became interested in Real Estate in 1995, received my NC real estate brokers license and began developing properties in Union County, NC.  I moved back to Jackson County in 1997 and began working in real estate brokerage. 

I have served as the President of the Northern Jackson County Board of Realtors, 2003 and have been the Chairperson for the Grievance and Professional Standards Committee from 2004 thru 2007.  I am currently enrolled in the ECO broker courses in order to obtain a greater understanding of "green" development, building and financing.

I am currently a partner with Western Carolina Properties and broker in charge of the Cullowhee office near Western Carolina University. My wife, Stephanie and our two boys, Brett and Chris reside in Sylva, where she works as a payroll specialist and the boys attend Smoky Mountain High School and play baseball.
