Providing current information on the rules, trends and market conditions in Central Ohio Real Estate to by clients is my primary function as a Realtor® My roll changes slightly based on the needs and desires of each client. First time Buyers and First time Seller, often require more information on the process and more assistance finding qualified professionals to help them achieve their real estate objectives. It is my job to provide solid advice so that when they make their decisions they feel confident they were made with all the necessary information available to them. Move up Buyers and Sellers often require a different type of support. Move ups have been through the process and tend to be more interested in current trends and tools that can help them quickly reach their objectives with the least amount of disruption to their lives. As an agent for my client my primary objective is helping my clients successfully obtain their Real Estate Goals and Objectives.
I volunteer with various local organizations to provide first time home buyer education. Generally those organizations do not allow any sales information. The benefit to me is name recognition and the fact I am helping to prepare the new homeowners for home ownership. It has always baffled me that so little is done to prepare people for one of the largest financial decisions that most of us make in our lifetime. I believe that had more been done to educate home buyers a few years ago perhaps there would be fewer people facing the loss of their homes today.
I also believe that as a skilled negotiator I can bring tremendous value to my clients. Prior to real estate I was a Major Accounts Representative with AT&T. I negotiated multi-million dollar deals for several fortune 1000 companies. Those skills have proved to be quite valuable not only in negotiating traditional sales but extremely vital in negotiating with lenders for short sales with multiple lenders and short sale deficiencies .
