After our first year in the home inspection business all we can say is WOW !
We have owned many businesses before but NOTHING compares to this. We researched all aspects of the home inspection business before we made our choice to be a ProSight affiliate member. We could not have made a better choice! We have never had so much help and guidance with any business adventure. We have such a secure feeling of support with ProSight that it has allowed us to really get out there and make it happen for us and our family like never before. For the first time we don't feel like we are working without a safety net. Chuck seems to always be only a phone call away, I don't know how he does it.
We have had such a fantastic response from the real estate community here in South Carolina. Everyone is so very impressed with the level of professionalism that ProSight brings to the industry. Our marketing material gets raves from realtors all the time, many have asked us " who does your marketing material" to which we proudly say "PROSIGHT" and then explain to them how happy we are to be an affiliate member. After our first year in business we are averaging approx. $3000- $4000 per week in fees and booking inspections two weeks out, we even have realtors calling in orders when they get the listing so that they are sure to get in our schedule. The report software you provide is very easy to use but this is one area that could be improved by allowing each affiliate to tailor it to their specific geographic area. (This suggestion has been implemented in our new software-released 09-17-07) Other than that I know that realtors and clients find the report very easy to read.
Overall the services and materials that you provide are well worth the small start-up fee and monthly fee that I pay compared to owning a franchise. I feel the success that I achieved this last year did not only come from my own hard work but is directly related to your outstanding support and commitment you provided to me.

When I started researching Home Inspection franchises in the beginning, I had expected to invest a lot more money than I had invested with the Pro-Sight “franchise alternative”. From the start, our Training, Marketing Materials, and Inspection Reporting Software has far exceeded what I would have received with a conventional franchise at about 250% more money than I have invested with Pro-Sight. As a new Pro-Sight affiliate and the first in Canada, I knew that there would be hurdles to overcome. After only 3 months in business as a home inspector, I have to say that the start up with Pro-Sight, and the successes are overwhelming.
Even after knowing from reading books like E-Myth Revisited, and understanding that 85% of new businesses fail in the first 3 years as compared to a 75% success rate for businesses with a system i.e., franchises or the like, the system Pro-Sight has developed gives the guidance one needs to be profitable quickly. With Pro-Sight’s low fees as compared to a traditional franchise, more profit stays in my pocket.
My background in construction provides me an edge over others that may start a home inspection service, so I may have been able to start without Pro-Sight. But after researching the cost of advertising and materials; as well as reporting software, I decided that Pro-Sight was worth the investment.
Now that I have had the chance to compare the standard of reports, which I can produce through Pro-Sight's online software, others (including franchise inspections) pale in comparison. My belief now, is that I will be able to easily expand my business footprint, if others do not raise their standards.
