Randy - I would never tell anyone that they couldn't bring someone by. If they say things that could cost you the deal, so be it, but hopefully, you being the expert, can explain why this may be the right home at the right price for your clients.

I think it may be better prior to submitting an offer.  Otherwise, they may be asking for inappropriate access to the home and the Seller does not have to accomodate that.  If they have influence on the buyer, let them do so before you get under contract; otherwise their opinion may jeopardize your contract.

It's not a matter of wise. It's human nature. If someone is considering a home purchase. they have every right to bring loved ones...whether it screws up the deal or not. I would never think of trying to restict that.
