Maybe my office, maybe at the hotel lobby where they are staying. Depends on the situation and what you mean by "never met." I've worked with people for months via phone and email who are relocating and whom I never meet till they actually arrive in Charlotte, but on some level I have "met" them.

Hi Paul - We prefer to meet new buyers in our office. Because we're a very small company - 4 agent, counting us - we want to avoid any suggestion that we're a shoestring, limited operation. We have a nice office with a very professional feel and it helps to provide credibility. It also keeps our meetings mostly distraction-free.

I prefer to meet them at the office, but I also usually "vet" the person online before I spend time working for them. I also work with a lot of international clients and often pick them up at the airport or hotel when they arrive. I don't go alone if I am uncomfortable with them in any way.

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

Funny that you mentioned this but, I was at a party this evening and finally 'met' buyers who I served in the spring.  They were living out of state, bought the home, site unseen and then did a mail-away Closing so, they didn't even attend Closing (although I did)!  I met them for the first time this evening and we had a blast telling everyone about our long-distance relationship!  LOL

I typically meet at their hotel or the office.  Sometimes I'll meet them at the first house if I've been talking to them for quite some time and feel like I 'know' them already!

No, I'd rather cut to the chase and do my qualifying on the fly.  This saves time and I learn likes, dislikes, motivation, ability to buy and compatibility quicker.  I even like taking separate cars.  I listen to the radio and they discuss homes.  Feedback is honest and results are solid.
