Someone burned down one of ours a few weeks ago, a very expensive night for us.

Yes & it's a good thing they didn't chop down the front door with that wonderful fire axe they have. Cuts a door like butter.
Have had the police call me also. That's always a lovely phone call.

I never had that experience. See signs do matter
We have not had that experience.
No, but I've been with the Sheriff's Dept. and called a realtor because we needed access to the property for a search on another parcel nextdoor.
I've never had this happen, but have been called by code enforcement about vacant listings.
Fortunately, not something I've had to deal with... yet!
Joan - Have never had that situation come up, thankfully. Glad yours worked out and the FD didn't have to break down the door.
Joan Cox - never experienced this - but it was a good thing, isn't it?
Never. They are on the ball and would rather them be safe than sorry.
Never had an experience like this and I'm glad they called prior to busting in the door.
YES! Had a pipe freeze that was for the Condo building's fire supression system, with most of the water running out the garage to the outside, but unfortunately the floors inside got wet.
I had one go off that would stop even after removing the battery. Tempatation to tear/rip out of the ceiling was put on hold while I called the inventor whose phone number was on it. He said it was a defect and he would walk me through it. He did....
Haven't experienced that. Glad it all worked out! -Kasey
Glad to see that the local FD is on the ball responding, but glad they didn't break down door. Seller better make a donation to their FD!
Glad I haven't had that happen.
Joan Cox No, I have not experienced this.
no thank you.... I'll pass on that one....
I had a sign in front of a home for sale with my number, and the Fire Department broke in through the windows next to the door. They claimed they called me first but I never got a call.
I have not had this happen, thank goodness.
No, but I do know of a local fire department that broke down someone's door and their front door had been left unlocked!
Good thing it was not in a community where they don't allow signs, Joan Cox!!!
first time for everything.
