stacey whiting - I would interview THEM - visit the local brokerages, see which one(s) seem to fit you the best. Other agents' recommendations are not always exactly what would be good for you.

Good luck!

In order to get the best extras, you are going to pay for it.  Higher commission split means more out of your pocket for websites, etc.

Don't worry so much about the split and find the place that offers the things you want and need.  You will make the money you want by selling more homes.

Hopefully by heading in the right direction. I Was a top producer at Century 21 practicing realtor in WI 1999-2009 and practiced on and off in GA with Keller Williams and Harry Norman since 2011. I moved in the Dacula, GA Gwinnett County area recently and trying to decide which real estate company or builder would be best too work for near Dacula, GA. I have been also debating whether I should poossbly get my brokers license and look into managing companies. I have previous experience with commercial, building residential homes and land subdividing and foreclosures. Any feedback would be much appreciative. Thank-you!

Well, I don't know your market but since you say you're a top producer you should be able to negotiate with any office to keep most of your commission.

Re/max of course is an option. No split, but a monthly fee.

Not a bad idea to get your broker's license too.  I'm doing that now.

Always. Always. Always do you own homework and due diligence. What works for one may not work for you. If you need training there will be a price to pay for that.  If your decision is based on commission splits alone, 100% of nothing is still nothing.  I wish you all the best!

Stacey - since you describe yourself as a top producing agent in Wisconsin prior to moving to Georgia, I'm sure there are many brokerages who would want a proven professional such as yourself on their team.

However, if you want a high commission split yet have technology and support --- you may want to consider the long term benefits of your choice -- there has to be a balance otherwise it wouldn't make sense for the brokerage.  Use your past skills and connections to get a local feel for Dacula.   Investigate thoroughly.   Good luck.

I'd choose the best you can get without thinking how much you will pay them. It is beneficial for you  to have a good training and a solid mentor first few deals.

I have to say you get what you pay for. If you want all the bells and whistles that cost money. If you are good at doing your own thing then go with a place that takes less.

I see you are a highly experienced agent with a history of high productivity.

It would be easy to assume you know the kind of real estate company you want to have. So the answer to your question is simply identifying the company who lets you run your business but partners with you in the effort.

Remax is a good partner by philosophy. Go with the facts revealed by the office numbers, NOT the sweet words that escape the brokers lips.

Becoming a broker and creating the industry changing enterprise of which you dream may prove to be your best option.
