Fortunately, if we manage our own site(s) we can easily check for broken links and perform redirects or remove/update the links before things get out of hand. I can only imagine how many broken links there are here in the Rain. I wish there was an easy way for us to check all of our pages on this site (instead of one-by-one).

Always check and sometimes more than once. And I go back from time to time and recheck.
I routinely work on my website.

I use a link checker to do this.
Thanks for the reminder
Very interesting, Andrew and point taken!
I will admit that if a page doesn't load or I get a 404, I'm headed back to Google to find another site. I'm not interested in double-checking at all!
Since I am retired, I only maintain a blog these days. I check links as I upload but don't go back and check old links very often. Pretty tough to keep up when you have hundreds of posts.
I'm not very diligent about checking!!!
Need to be more diligent in checking on a regular basis!
It's something I need to get better at when I have time.
Every so often I check the links on my site. I heard of a site that would check for broken links, but would have to find it again.
Yes, for sites that I can control. Something like ActiveRain, there isn't much I can do.
I'd stay away, Andrew Mooers - unless I know a bit more about the links.
I am so busy posting new stuff that I seldom find time to visit the old.
I don't check like I should. When I am on a page for another reason I will check it.
I manage my own for good or bad.
Yes we do and I am surprised how many links do become moldy
Never heard of this site and I just don't see the purpose of it, but I digress.
I use the "Broken Link Checker" plugin for wordpress. Checks all my links for me.
This is a good reminder.
