About Rich Hayden

Rich Hayden has consulted to and worked in the residential lending industry since 1995.  After leaving the consulting side of the field in May of 2000 to become Director of Sales at LendingTree, LLC (http://www.lendingtree.com/), Rich enjoyed several years saw the company thrive, move to profitability and eventually be sold for $770 Million.  Since taking the final step closer to the consumer as a professional mortgage planner in 2002, Rich has enjoyed the success that comes with a practice built on ethics.  In 2004, he was appointed Vice President of Residential Lending for a leading Virginia-based mortgage lender/broker.  There he led highly motivated teams in addition to servicing his ever-growing private client base.  After a brief 2-year run with the Washington DC Area's largest privately held direct mortgage banking firm, First Savings Mortgage Corporation, Rich returned to HomeFirst Mortgage Corp. poised to provide the highest level of service possible in today's ever changing market.

A recognized professional in the field, Rich is an in-demand speaker and educator for real estate finance, consumer credit, first time home buyer, debt & equity management and asset accumulation audiences throughout the DC, MD & VA region.  Rich holds the highly coveted Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) certification.  Among his many affiliations, Rich is a member of the Mortgage Banker's Association of America (MBAA), Metropolitan Washington Mortgage Banking Association (MBA/MW), National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) and Virginia Association of Mortgage Brokers (VAMB) and Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB).

I am truly passionate about my profession, and the result is that nearly 100% of my business is by referral from satisfied clients, trusted financial advisors and the most experienced realtors in the DC Metropolitan Area.  My mission is to carefully guide clients through the entire home loan process, so that they feel confident as they make choices about the many options available for their financing strategy. With many years and a wide range of experience in the mortgage industry, my team and I stand ready to assist each and every step of the way.
