I was born and raised in North Carolina, and moved to the Catawba Valley area in 2002, after meeting my husband while a student at Appalachian State University.  We currently live in the Chesterfield community, between Morganton and Lenoir, and are expecting our first child in March 2010. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, volunteering, and hiking and camping near Wilson's Creek. I also love live music, and can often be found at rockabilly, punk, and traditonal country shows and promoting live music events locally and in the Charlotte metro area.

I am currently an agent with Century 21 American Homes in Hickory, NC, serving Catawba, Caldwell, and Alexander Counties, and the surrounding area. I graduated from JY Monk Real Estate School in 2007, and spent two years as an agent with Keller Williams Realty. I just recently moved to Century 21 here in Hickory, to better serve the local area.

Areas of Expertise

My specialty is working with former FSBOs and expired listings, to get these homes sold. Too many people have wasted time and money either advertising online or in newspaper ads, or paying an agent who put up a sign and then failed to stay in contact with them or market the listing property. My goal is to find these sellers and to help them get their home listed at the right price, marketed effectively, and sold as quickly and as satisfactory as possible. 

I also enjoy working with first time buyers and people relocating to the area. Buying a home can be a challenging experience, and my goal is to help make it into an exciting and rewarding step into a new part of your life. I believe in listening to your wants and needs and using them to find the home that most suits your taste, budget, and lifestyle.

I can work with buyers and sellers of homes and land anywhere in Caldwell, Catawba, Alexander, or Burke County, but the areas I'm most familiar with are northwest Caldwell County, West Lenoir, and eastern Burke County. My husband, Terry, and I saw a house we liked in a neighborhood we were interested in buying. The house had Raine's number on the sign so we gave her a call, and were able to see it the next morning.
