My Real Estate Experience
It has been quite a progression for me. I started my real estate career by working as a real estate paralegal for a law firm in Newport, NH preparing title insurance policies and title opinions. In 1994, I started my own real estate title searching company, Bessey Title Abstractors, LLC . I spent the next 14 years abstracting titles, reading and preparing deeds, deciphering old records, preparing closing documents, HUD-1 settlement statements, and conducting real estate closings.
After 22 years of being on that side of the closing table, I decided to make the jump to real estate sales. I moved to West Windsor, Vermont. I worked in the West Windsor Lister's office for 4 years, got my real estate license and joined the team at Dark Horse Realty in 2006.
In 2006, I also began volunteering my time as the Secretary for the Windsor County Board of Realtors. In 2007, I accepted a part time position with the WCBR as the Association Executive. This position has allowed me to assist the Realtor members to achieve their goals and keep up to date with the requirements of licensing and Realtor membership.
Having been on both sides of the closing table, gives me a wonderful advantage and many years of experience to share with my real estate customers.
