About:
My name is David Orr. I've been a licensed Realtor® since 2004, in both Alabama and Georgia. I'm married with two sons and three grandchildren. Prior to entering the real estate profession, I worked in electronics and computer technologies for the government and business world.
Initially, I came to the Phenix City, AL/Columbus, GA area while serving as an electronics tech in the US Army (MOS 35E). After experiencing the great weather and opportunities in this area, I didn't want to leave! I've lived in several states east of the Mississippi, as well abroad in Italy and Israel; and for the last twenty plus years, I've enjoyed living in Phenix City, AL.
Everywhere I've lived has helped in giving me a unique perspective for locating the best properties for my clients.
I've been blessed in having a varied background and training in electronics, computers, web design, programming, video & multimedia production, and management. The knowledge, experience, skills and training helps me to be the best resource for my customers and clients.
Areas of Expertise
Working with customers and clients, in new construction, REO (bank-owned) properties, and more. I particularly enjoy researching properties for clients who have special needs or desires, such as: handicap accessible, lots of land with a stream or lake, in town or country in the city.
Have extensive experience in the REO property field: cash for keys, evictions (they happen sometimes), property preservation and cleanup, property maintenance, BPO's, field reports, marketing and sales - with both buyers and sellers.
Because I am licensed in both AL & GA, the area that I cover is comprised of at least four counties in east central Alabama (Chambers, Lee, Russell and Barbour); and at least six counties in west central Georgia (Meriwether, Harris, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion and Talbot).
All of my selling clients are provided with a short video tour (V-Tour's from GenesisOne Productions LLC) of their property at no cost to them. These V-Tours include a soundtrack, video, titles, and more. All are accessible via the Web on multiple sites and the MLS, as well as providing the video on DVD for those without an Internet connection.
