About Pat

Pat is a Certified Interior Staging Specialist, a member of I.R.I.S.- Interior Redesign Industry Specialists, as well as an Affiliate Member of the Interior Design Society.

By moving every few years Pat learned the art of redesign with her own furniture and accessories.  “Of course, I didn’t know what I was doing had a name, but when I first heard the words ‘redesign makeover,’ I knew that was what I’d been doing all these years.” 

Like most people, Pat couldn’t afford new furniture and accessories to furnish her homes with each move.  She learned by trial and error how to use what she already owned in different and sometimes unexpected ways to make each house her home.  “I bought a birdbath to use as a table in Albany, New York, in Simpsonville it’s a plant stand.  Using items, like a birdbath, in unexpected ways gives your home a unique and personal touch.”    

With each relocation Pat became more knowledgeable about what buyers look for in a house and how furniture and accessories impact their perception of the home. She learned first-hand how important it is to prepare your home before the “For Sale” sign goes in the yard.  “The housing market is extremely competitive, as a seller you need to ensure you do everything possible to get the best price in the shortest time for your home.”

When Pat’s family made the decision to move to Simpsonville in 2005 she realized the time was right to start her own business.  “I was the manager of corporate training for a marketing communications firm for eight years in Albany.  Moving to South Carolina was my opportunity to start a new career.”   It didn’t take Pat long to realize her passion was Interior Redesign.  “Doing redesign gives me the opportunity to help people who are in the same situations I’ve often been in.  You have ‘stuff’ and you just don’t know what to do with it, or, you’re selling your house and you don’t know what to do to make it sell faster.  I really enjoy what I do and I know that all my clients will too!”     

Staging Services Options

Consultative Staging- I will spend approximately 2 hours at your home. First, I will walk around the outside of the home evaluating its curb appeal.    Then I will go through your home room by room.  You may go with me and we will take notes and discuss specific areas where staging or corrective action should be taken. Or, I can go through your yard and home noting areas where staging or corrective action should be taken and then review them with you upon completion of my walk through.  I will also provide you with my interior redesign & home staging Ready-Set-Sell and interior redesign & home staging Market Advantage Staging tip sheets.

Staging Redesign- After a consultative staging we will decide which room or rooms will most benefit from a staging redesign.  We will discuss items that may need to be relocated or placed in storage prior to your move. I will then “shop” the remainder of your home for items that will work with the staging redesign look.  Next the furnishings, artwork and accessories will be removed from the room.  Keeping in mind that we are staging to sell your home, the furniture is returned and placed to complement the space.  The room will be completed with your accessories, artwork and any “shopped” items.  I will also provide you with my interior redesign & home staging Ready-Set-Sell and interior redesign & home staging Market Advantage Staging tip sheets.

Open House Staging Preparation -Sunday can be the busiest day of the week for many people.  That’s why I’m offering an open house staging preparation service to my interior redesign & home stagingconsultative staging and staging redesign clients.  By having an open house you will attract the widest range and greatest number of potential buyers.  Make sure you take advantage of this marketing opportunity!   

The day before your open house I will schedule a brief walk through of your home and we will discuss any areas that need additional attention.  Next we will determine how much time is needed for the open house staging preparation.  We will discuss what accessories, fresh flowers, etc. should be used to enhance your home and create a memorable impression of it for your open house. 

The day of your open house I will arrive ready to make a last minute walk through your home and set up the additional accessories as discussed.  I will be on hand when your realtor arrives and I will work with them if they feel any changes need to be made.
