I have been a resident of Tucson since 1992. Prior to that, I lived in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. I love the ruggedness of the desert and year-round sunshine Arizona offers!
I graduated with a 4.0 from Pima Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in the Legal Assistant program. I worked in the Tucson legal community for approximately one year.
I graduated from the Hogan School of Real Estate in 2001 and immediately attained my real estate license. I began my real estate career with Long Realty. I joined Realty Executives Southern Arizona in March of 2003. I made the move to Casas Adobes Realty in September of 2005.
I am a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Tucson Association of REALTORS®, the Tucson Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and REBAC. As a REALTOR®®, I am bound by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
I completed my Graduate of REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and my Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designations in November of 2002. Both designations require many hours of continuing education classes as well as practical experience. What do these designations mean to my clients? It means I stay up-to-date on the latest real estate issues. The classes required to complete and hold these designations cover a myriad of subjects: legal and ethical issues, home financing and contracts, environmental concerns and fair housing, as well as agency as it relates to REALTORS® and their clients. All the things you will only care about if your REALTOR® does not understand them! I believe in education!

I met Jo Ann when I was searching the internet looking for property in Tucson. My son, Pete, had decided to relocate from Oceanside, California, and I, ready for a change, decided to move there also in order to continue to be near him. So the situation was that he and I would sell our homes and ask Jo Ann to find us new homes suitable for our individual needs and desires. Pete wanted to be out away from town, and I wanted to be in a residential area closer to town. Jo Ann sent us listings for properties fitting our requests. She sent us a good range of homes that were available. In the process of communicating back and forth, I learned about her earnestness in her efforts to get us resettled, her marvelous sense of humor and her integrity.
As a result of her efforts on our behalf and a couple of trips we took to look at properties, she found the perfect home for Pete located next to Bureau of Land Management land with an acre of space that was perfect for the workshop he wanted to construct.
I studied all the listings she prepared for me to the point that she became very familiar with the kind of home I wanted to buy. On one visit to Tucson, I decided to buy a home I had liked. Upon returning home, I received an email from her telling me that she had continued to look for something she felt I would like better. She sent me one more listing that was so inviting I sent her a deposit to secure the property. A few days later I flew out to look at it and it was just right. It even included a lovely swimming pool which I swim in every day.
I never would have believed that I would buy a home without first seeing it, but my confidence in Jo Ann was absolute. Pete and I both love our new residences and we are grateful to Jo Ann for her energetic pursuit of carrying out a doubly difficult assignment.
