- Originally from the UK, where I had my own Investment Brokerage for 20years, specializing in REO,short sales, re-assignment sales in SW Florida USA.
History
I "found" the area of SW Florida after 20 years of visits - it was a quiet untouched place -- so different to Central Florida. We decided to make this our second home but this quickly became our first --
As part of Investment planning in the UK I had developed property in Marbella & Estepona on the southern coast of Spain -- I loved it! There was a buzz to seeing folks arrive from a dreary climate to feel the sun on their cheeks as they walked through olive groves that had been tended by the same families for hundreds of years.
The areas of Englewood, Placida, Rotonda West, were so underdeveloped as though they had been ignored by the folks shooting down the I-75 to Naples, Sarasota and Miami.
I thought if Florida Gold could offer a purchase, furnishing,rental & management contract for our overseas and out of state investor clients all under one roof this would be very popular.
10 years later we have suffered a major recession but still clients arrive from all over to feel the sun on their cheeks!!

Since the recession bit in 2006 we have become one of the areas foremost authorites on short sales and reo's. Because of our investment background I feel we are in a great postion to help clients who are "upside down" and investors looking for a great purchase. By helping these two differing clients meet their goals we get a great deal of satisfaction from the job we do.
As I mentioned before, we are excited to be living in one of the best areas, one of the best states and with some of the nicest people you will find.
We work with people from all over the globe seeking that "place in the sun" that offers them value for money - safety - infrastructure -
Our typical investor will be somewhere between 30 and 70 looking for either a second home - retirement - a bolt hole away from a busy lifestyle.
They will need a group of trustworthy professionals to look after their investment once purchased -- someone with Interior Design flair who can make this place "theirs" - someone who can look after all the day to day running of an investment property making it totally stress -free.
This is where our company comes into its own -- this is a team effort and we are proud to be on the Florida Gold Group team!
