About Us:
Ron received a degree in finance from Indiana State University, and was previously employed in the financial sector for thirty years. He brings a wealth of general business and finance knowledge to Prudential Georgia Realty, which allows him to provide a little extra edge for his clients. Ron currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Pickens County Board of Realtors, a member of the Professional Standards Committee, and is a member of the 2007 Pickens County Million Dollar Club. He was selected as Pickens County Realtor of the Year for 2008.
Ron holds a Georgia Real Estate Broker's License, and is an Associate Broker with Prudential. He has received the designation of ASR (Accredited Seller Representative) and is a member of the Accredited Seller Agency Council, a group focused on enhancing the professional skills needed to provide true "value added" service to clients desiring to sell property in today's real estate market. He received the designation LMC (Loss Mitigation Certified) from the Georgia Association of Realtors, showing that he is trained in distressed properties including short sales, foreclostures, REO's, and auctions. Having received the "E-certified" designation for technical proficiency, he is also recognized as a Prudential Fine Homes Specialist. He has also attended the prestigious Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI).
A resident of the greater Atlanta area since 1975, he relocated his family to the beautiful North Georgia Mountains in 1999. His community involvement includes Pickens County Chamber of Commerce where he serves as an Ambassador, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He is a graduate of the 2008 Leadership Pickens Class. He has volunteered for Prevent Child Abuse Pickens. He served as a classroom facilitator for the Cobb County Schools Character Education program, and spent fifteen years volunteering in youth sports programs as coach, board member and association chairman.
Areas of Expertise
I work in a five county area of Pickens, Cherokee, Gilmer, Dawson, and Gordon. Although my favorite is land sales, I also engage in residential and commercial business. I hold the LMC designation (Loss Mitigation Certified) from the Georgia Association of Realtors, which qualifies me to handle client needs for distressed properties ranging through short sales, foreclosures, REO's, and auctions.
