Born and raised in Northern Virginia and a graduate from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish, Ryan has demonstrated a strong professionalism and a devoted work ethic that will help you when making one of the biggest decisions of your life. With the resources, the expertise, and a graduate level education in real estate, Ryan is dedicated to help you find the right home or help you sell your house quickly. He enjoys coaching youth recreation basketball and baseball, and when he can find the time, you'll see him on the golf course. Ryan and his wife, Kelly, are living in a golfing community in Ashburn.

I'm writing to commend Brian Cook and Ryan Zook for their support to us in our first home-buying adventure. It's hard to believe we've been in our new home for over a year now - we feel so at home it's like we've lived here for years.
Brian and Ryan's support throughout the entire home-buying process was invaluable. As first-time home buyers, we were really intimidated by the enormity of the decision and the seemingly endless possibilities. The way they sat down with us from day one and patiently walked us through such a critical decision was fantastic.
We are very "relationship based" people, and their personal approach was what we needed. I can clearly remember sitting down at our dining table for that first discussion, embarking on what seemed a daunting journey. With a clear set of helpful question they helped us define our priorities and focus our search on the right ballpark of potential homes. We wouldn't have even realized that our priorities were so strong - we were simply focused on financial factors and were forgetting how important it is to us to live in a community that is family-friendly.
With three little ones and one on the way at that time, we didn't have the energy or capacity to do a lot of leg work looking at homes. The time Brian and Ryan spent physically visiting different houses and neighborhoods was a huge benefit to us. Their insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each home (and their respective locations) were invaluable.
I would venture that one of the things that sets Brian and Ryan apart from other knowledgeable agents is their sensitivity to the personal needs and style of their clients. Good information is of course a starting point, but if that information isn't delivered in a manner that suits the buyer, it won't be an effective relationship.
We have, and continue to, appreciate our working relationship with Brian and Ryan. Along with the values increasing in this area as they are, and the children growing the way they are, it may not be long before we call the Cook and Zook team to help us find our next home!

My brother and I would like to express our gratitude to Ryan Zook and Long and Foster for the professionalism, care, and consideration shown to us during a very difficult time. Our mother passed away in November, leaving a townhouse in Burke to be sold. I met with Ryan in January. He explained our options, gave us information on current listings and sales in the area, and assured us that he would care for the house. Ryan also went to the extra effort to put a Contractor's Lock box on the house, and arranged to have contractors come in to give us estimates on paint, carpet, and repairs. I did not have to leave work to have this done, as I would have had I done this all on my own.
Ryan was successful in bringing in the buyer and helping all of us come to agreement on the sale. The paperwork for settlement was done efficiently. The date for settlement was a day before the date in the contract. There were no delays or problems for us. Ryan was always available when I had a question or concern. He offered advice without pressure.
Having sold homes in the past, I have to say that this was the most pleasant experience I have had in dealing with a Realtor. Ryan is a true professional, yet shows interest and concern for his clients. After telling friends of this experience, they have asked for Ryan's contact information as they have been impressed with the work he has done for us.
