Savannah Lakes Village - Bruce & Mary

Hello from beautiful sunny South Carolina's Freshwater Coast in McCormick, SC.  Savannah Lakes Village is on the South Carolina and Georgia border on Lake Thurmond, a 70,000+ acre lake surrounded by National Forests and South Carolina wildlife management areas. 

We are just regular folks!  One really important thing we enjoy is meeting new people and helping them with real estate needs, especially here in Savannah Lakes Village.  Since this is the section to tell about us, here goes!

Bruce is a long-time REALTOR®, having been licensed in the 70's in Lynchburg, VA.  He moved to Greenville, SC in the 80's and joined a new RE/MAX office.  Bruce enjoys golfing, boating, running, and gardening (growing 14 varieties of peppers).  He is an active church member and loves our black lab, EmmyLou and our new yellow lab puppy, Clementine!  By the way, he is also a great University of Virginia fan!

Mary has been a REALTOR® for 8 years and was also with RE/MAX in Greenville.  Before real estate, she was an educator for a long time!  Mary is also a golfer and loves boating, jogging (chasing Bruce), and gardening.  She is active in church and loves dogs, too.  Mary's hometown is Clemson, SC and she is an avid Clemson fan, especially when they play University of Virginia.

EmmyLou, our black lab, is 12 years old and is about the sweetest and best behaved dog you'll ever meet.  When you call us, you will meet EmmyLou because she's an important part of our team!

Our professional involvement has been on both local and state levels.  From committee membership to Chairman of the Board of the Western Association of REALTORS®, from SC Professional Standards Committee to state Region VI Vice-President, Bruce is always involved.  Mary has also been on various committees of the local association and is currently a state director and on the state Legal Action Committee.

The purpose of this letter is to thank you for your patience and endurance during the purchase of our new home.  This was certainly one of the more challenging transactions we've undertaken, and there were several occasions on which Peggy and I were ready to retreat, regroup, and try again with another property.  That the transaction was eventually consummated is a testament to your tenacity and creativity.  We are still amazed that so many bizarre things could have occurred in the course of what should have been one fairly routine purchase and that you remained positive (sane) throughout the process.  We appreciate your efforts on our behalf and hope that you never experience anything like this again.  We hope the same for ourselves!  It was worth it, though.  This is the most favorite home we have ever owned!  Thank you!!!
