I am the Co-owner and Managing Broker of TREO, Realtors. I specialize in traditional buyers and sellers of real estate and head the movement for Real Estate Commission Reform.

Who is TREO, Realtors?

 

We are a hybrid real estate brokerage of sorts.  We provide our agents with the same high level of service and ammenities as traditional brokerages while mainting very low costs and passing those savings on to the agent.

Our agents can operate out of their home or office just as effectively as a brick and mortar brokerage.  We guide them through the steps of buidling their office and continually work to improve the quality and convenience of their selling. 

We are the leaders in technology and state-of-the-art business practices in Southwest Ohio, if not in the entire state.  We utilize electronic signing of contracts, online distribution of documents between agents and the brokerage, and are making strides towards becoming a mostly paperless office.  The majority of our investment dollars are spent on online marketing and creating custom online systems to heighten our customer's experience.

We do pass our savings on to our agents, but we are NOT a discount brokerage.  We are the Modern Full Service Brokerage - One that hedges against the volitile market and maintains stability in any kind of market.

Real Estate Commission Reform

Why is it that Realtors charge a $300,000 home twice as much commission as a $150,000 home for generally the same services?   You don’t know?  Me NEITHER!

Doctors don’t charge patients different amounts for the same surgery.  Landscapers don’t charge for services based on the value of the land.  So why do Realtors charge commissions based on the value of a home, when the service is identical?

That question has baffled me since I entered the Real Estate business several years ago and finally I’ve developed an alternative commission plan that eliminates this out-dated method of charging commissions based on selling prices.

Real Estate Commission Reform (RECR) is a movement for agents to begin charging clients a low fixed fee for full representation.  Everyone gets the same level of service and support, no matter the value of their home.

 
And although saving money is a nice feature, RECR has expanded to encompass more features than just a lower commission.  RECR is aboutaccountablity for agents, transparency in your transaction and new and innovative marketing solutions - resulting in the highest quality experience for the client
