About Me:
I originally came from Whittier, Ca as a young retiree. I had owned and operated a Farmers Insurance agency there for 18 years and had planned on an early retirement. When I moved to Bullhead City I became active in real estate investing and decided after about a year to get my real estate license in order to save paying commissions to other agents (sorry!). I was accepted by a locally owned real estate company that allowed me to work part time with little expense. I learned much of the business of real estate with this company. I entered the market during the boom years 2004/5 and made a pretty reasonable income without really working too hard. As 2006 saw the market slow, I found my self working much harder and making a fraction of the money I had made before. As with most agents, this has been a frustrating period. Late in 2006 I was presented with an opportunity to become a minority owner in newly forming and new to this market Keller Williams Realty market center. Not only was I intrigued by the benefits ownership in a profit sharing company, I was thrilled to be able to get professional training to help grow my business.
This training has helped me to become a much more professional agent and has taught me how to better service my clients and their needs. As we all know, buying or selling real estate can be a very trying and nerve wracking experience and I am pleased to have acquired skills that help make this a more manageable and pleasant experience for my clients. It's on the advice of the educational staff at Keller Williams that I have decided to join Active Rain so that I may gain further knowledge and expertise in my field through communication with Realtors and other real estate professional from around the country.
Our new Keller Williams Realty office is already the largest real estate firm in the Bullhead City area after only our 5th month since our launch and we have recruited many of the top agents in our marketplace to become part of our team. And being part of a team that works to make each and every member of our office more professional and successful is really great.
I'm an owner/agent of the Bullhead City Keller Williams Market Center, member of the Agency Leadership Council and Chairman of my offices Technology Committee. At the beginning of August 2008 I was asked to take the Team Leader role at KWBullhead City and accepted that position. I am now responisble for recruiting, agent development and market center profitablility.
Areas of Expertise
I am primarily a residential sales specialist. This is a very diverse marketplace with properties that include older, single wide mobile homes that can be purchased (with land) for under $40,000 to brand new luxury golf course or riverfront homes costing over 4 million dollars. As a result I must be familiar with a variety of property styles not often found in the same market, including rural residential on well water and septic systems, to older mobile homes with unique purchase and sale obstacles to luxury riverfront condo where amenities include boat slips, private marinas and boat launches and cater to a very discriminating and educated clientele.
As the Bullhead City area expands and grows the commercial segment of the market has become much more important and we are seeing an influx of business move into this area that has never occurred before. This makes learning about this expanding commercial market a priority and one that I am devoting my time and energy to learn about. We now have many new warehouse and retail/office properties being built and entering the market. These properties enhance our traditional commercial market that has been primarily multi-family residential and, small retail and commercial buildings and storage units. I am working more with buyers and sellers of these properties than I have in the past.
