Personal Qualification & Certifications

Hawaii Real Estate Broker:

In Hawaii, a Broker is required to have experience and a certain dollar volume to become a Broker. The testing requirements for a broker are much more difficult then those of a regular Real Estate Agent. It has been said that the Hawaii Real Estate Brokers exam is the hardest in the nation. I have been told that 60% of the people who take the exam fail the first time. In Hawaii a Broker is responsible for signing off on all contracts that agents generate.

Vermont Real Estate Broker: Previously Licensed in the State of Vermont. 

Negotiation Specialist: Studied negotiation for approximately twenty years. I have also taught various courses on Negotiation. Negotiation is an art that requires not only constant practice but a complete knowledge of negotiation tactics & techniques, including counter negotiation tactics & techniques.  

Certified Residential Specialist: This certification consists of an advanced series of courses designed to teach the agent some very sophisticated and specialized aspects of the Real Estate industry. Courses are taught around the country. They required a significant amount of travel, money, dedication, intelligence and tenacity.  It took me almost two years to complete these courses. I am proud to be a CRS.

Certified New Home Specialist: This is a very specialized series of courses designed to give the realtor extensive knowledge of what is involved in building new homes and developments. It covered everything from building permits to the finished product. It provides a tremendous amount of insight as to what a building contractor has to endure and what it takes to build a home. 

Vacation Rental Specialist:

7 years experience of balancing the interests of homeowners and vacationers by providing superior customer service.

Vacation Rental owner:

Renting out (vacation rentals) condos at more then a dozen complexes located in Kihei on the Island of Maui.

 

Real Estate Company:

After working with companies like ERA, Century 21 and Keller Williams I set out to establish a company that really stands for the business principals that I believe in.
