Born in DC in 1948, and raised in Northern Virginia, I'm the son of a Real Estate Broker, so I have been in contact with the processes of the industry since my youth.
Having worked in construction, and having founded an Electrical Contracting firm that specializes in the Residential field, I have a unique and intimate knowledge of the way that homes go together. This knowledge has served me well in the Real Estate field, since I can easily assess the real value, and the quality of the construction of homes. Having been involved in the construction of homes as large as 20,000 Square Feet and more, also gives me the expertiese to educate sellers about what the market wants. In addition, it helps me to inform buyers about the home that they may be considering.
Since the Electrical business was founded in 1985, it has brought me to many areas of Northern Virginia, including Fairfax County and Centreville - where I live. My wife and I raised our two children there, and we are quite familiar with the Fairfax County School System.

In addition, I'm a numbers guy, and I like to look behind the numbers that everyone else has available to them to run my own reports and analyses of the particular market in question. For instance, many people can tell you what the average days on the market are, but few can tell you what the Standard Deviation from those figures are, and how they relate to the prospects of selling a home in a reasonable period of time.
