About Our President:
Sheila Saunders-Goulart has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years. Sheila was born in South Laguna and grew up in South Orange County (San Clemente, Dana Point, and Mission Viejo) and is a CSUF alumni. She started with Bank of America in 1990 with a brief stint as a teller in the San Juan Capistrano, CA. branch, before moving over to the platform side of banking at the same office later that year. She worked with checking and savings accounts, investments, loans, merchant services, and business products. She began her lending career with equity loans and lines of credit, auto loans and credit cards. In 1993 she took a position doing only real estate lending for the bank. She worked with several high producing branches over the next couple of years and became known for her product knowledge and unique ability to service a client by providing them with the perfect product for their situation. She was asked to develop and teach training classes for products and services within the Orange County District. She took a Premier Banking position in 1996 that managed a portfolio of high valued clients; this provided her with extensive financial planning training. The new position evaluated clients' financial situations and advised them on how to proceed by adjusting their savings and investing habits, revisiting their mortgage product fit and discussing estate planning and insurance needs. The position began to make her feel that she was "product popping". She left in 1998 to begin a career as a Mortgage Broker with a stellar mortgage firm in Newport Beach, California. There, she was a top producing Loan Officer for 3 years until moving to Ameristar in 2001, which would later become Harborside (and then Equipoint) Financial Network. Even then, Sheila knew that mortgage products would never be the only road.
In 2002, Sheila started her own financial services firm, primarily a mortgage brokerage, Synergy Financial Group, Inc. She can now use her knowledge and abilities to build her own company and brand from her unique blend of caring and service. She strives toward helping all of her clients build their best financial future!!
