Agents Only Social MediaAnyone going to Inman Connect this year in San Francisco from August 1st to August 3rd?

I am going to be on the panel called "Tops Down Social Media" during the Broker Summit at 2:35pm in the Franciscan Ballroom on Wednesday August 1st.

Here is quick description of the panel and the panelists: "Social isn't just for agents. Find out why your management needs to be active on social platforms like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter, and how to develop a successful strategy that delivers real results."

I would love YOUR input on social media in real estate.  Please click the below link and fill out this survey.  Should only take 5 minutes of time.  Should be really interesting AND I promise to publish the results.

I wish I could be there.  Was invited to be on the Rethink panel but will be out of town.  Social media isn't just for agents and we need to know how to use it effectively without being pushy.

I actually left my previous broker because they really didn't encourage or use social media. I think brokerage firms should be implementing these mediums. I know you'll do a stellar job at the conference.

Sounds like a Panel for Discussion this year in San Francisco. I would certainly be interested in the out come of the survey results. More and more are beginning to embrace Social Media platforms.

It will be interesting to see the results ..... I found the questions were very narrow with no happy medium IE: once a week or once a day ...... I answered as if once a week was once or more a week but not as often as once a day.

Niki:

Just took the survey.  I agree with other who say social media is not just for we agents.  Brokers/Managers also need to be aware of what is occurring on social media.  Looking forward to seeing the survey results.

Hey Nikesh,

Enjoy the trip and come back with some cool stuff! Social Media is moving so fast. I'd love to know where we're going to be with it in 3-5 years.

Took it, and curious to see the results as well. Social Media is not going to die, IMO, so I'm all in as an agent and think Brokers should be as well....Do we have to think about whether we're going to be a part of the MLS? I think SM will be the same soon...so you may as well hop on now.

I read this on your intro to this blog post in my email: "The social media component of my business is a complete shambles."

Nikesh, I follow you on Twitter and you seem to do better there, I think you'll be fine!

Everyone, thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey.  Some really great data coming out.  Need more respondents though.

Lynda, hopefully I can get some good data from this project to improve real estate agent and real estate broker social media presence!

This is an interesting post. It never occurred to me to see if my company actually does social media. Although I bet they do. We've got some pretty high tech people.

Filled out the survey. Hope it helps. I am all about social media as much as possible. Don't use all of the options but do use many.
