Our decision to put our house for sale arrived at the same time as the recent economic and housing crisis. If our timing wasn't bad enough, our home further complicated matters as it was a small 2 bedroom starter home in a neighborhood that bordered an apartment complex. We interviewed several realtors before choosing Matt Borushko and his team. Matt set himself apart from the other candidates in that he was very candid and informative about the challenges of the current local housing market. He also offered a very detailed plan on how he could market and sell our home in such conditions at a very competitive rate.
It was only a few days after signing with Matt that a photographer was onsite to cover our home. The advertisement was well done and showed our house in the best possible manner. Within a week, we had multiple viewings from potential buyers who were interested in our home, which continued until we received an offer about a month later. The original offer was much less than our list price and Matt was very supportive in our request to counter. When it was all said and done, Matt was able to secure our list price, while also managing to keep us calm during what could have been a very stressful process.
We were so pleased with our experience with Matt that we elected to use him in our search for a new home. Matt's wife, Becki, was kind enough to introduce and show several houses that met my wife's criteria. Becki was almost too efficient, as she managed to find my wife's dream home before I had applied for financing. Matt assisted me in securing financing at a great rate through Bank of America in order to put an immediate offer on the home. By the time the dust settled, our below list price offer was accepted and we were scheduled to close a week prior to the close of our old home. Some issues popped up prior to the close, in which the sellers balked at some of the repairs and also required an extension on the close date. Matt handled these issues with ease and there was no impact to the quality of either of the sales.

We used Matt Borushko's realtor expertise when we attempted to purchase a home listed as a short-sale. Matt was very helpful explaining the short-sale process to us, and gave us realistic expectaions. He spent a lot of time with us, and also provided us referrals to an excellent home inspector as well as a contractor to provide estimates for repair costs. He has a lot of experience with short-sales, but also helps buyers and sellers of all sorts. Matt has a particular interest in buying and selling lakefront properties. We weren't able to purchase the property because the owner's bank rejected ALL offers. However, Matt kept us updated throughout the process and was very professional.
