About Gale & Jim

Gale & Jim Tobin are the original "Spouses Who Sell Houses!" ® and have been helping hundreds of buyers and sellers since 1984. They have assisted families, couples and individuals in all areas of Northern Virginia (Washington, D.C. suburbs).

They have lived in Northern Virginia for over 35 years, so they really know the different neighborhoods, schools and commuting patterns. Both are natives of the area. Gale and Jim met at the University of Maryland and have three married daughters. Gale is a former school teacher and Jim is a former 'rocket scientist' with a degree in Electical Engineering.

In their real estate careers, both Gale & Jim have received major professional designations (Associate Brokers, CRS, ABR, CRP) over the years. However,their proudest honor is to have helped hundreds of buyers and sellers achieve their housing goals. They do it with the individual attention that each customer deserves!

We are familiar with all parts of Northern Virginia. Our direct experience in over 1200 transactions covers all areas of Fairfax County, Arlington County, Prince William County, Loudoun County and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Vienna and Herndon just to name a few. Most of the area is unincorporated so the area names that many people know are really just "zip code names".

  "The Spouses Who Sell Houses!" is OUR United States Federal Registered Trademark and is NOT authorized for use by anyone else, either in this exact form or close variations. We have used and owned the registration for over 14 years. If we do an internet search and find you using it we may send you a friendly 'cease and desist letter' and you will have to go through the trouble of changing YOUR marketing material. Ignor this warning and you may be getting mail from our attorney and a bill for the use of the trademark. Our current fee is $100 per day retroactive to the first known usage. Someday, perhaps we will figure out a way to license others to use the trademark, but for now if you use it you may find it to be an expensive gamble. My son-in-law is an attorney and he can use the money!
