About Us:

When I reviewed countless business websites trying to decide what to have as part of my profile page, the common thread was that it was basically information that all pointed to the same thing. The profile page isn't necessarily about a company, an institution or a service. it should be all about people. With that said, let me begin by tell you about us, our family, our background, our credentials and our dream.....

I have a solid, successful 35 year background in retail merchandising and management. My career has included working for such retail giants as Federated Department Stores (now Macy's and Bloomingdale's), JCPenney's, The Gap and Bon Ton Department Stores. During my 35 year career, I have been responsible for the presentation/staging of merchandise in stores ranging from 10,000 to 450,000 square feet! Quite an undertaking! During my retail career, I have created many presentation techniques that were innovations to previous standards and helped to more dramatically enhance the product that was being sold.In addition to my extensive experience in merchandising and presentation, I have also earned degrees in Commercial Art and Design as well as Business Administration. I have also received my accreditation as a Staging Professional from Staged Homes, based in Concord, California. I am an active a member of the International Association of Homes Staging Professionals (IAHSP) which keeps me apprised of the newest staging techniques and industry statistics through annual symposiums. My wife Judy and I reside in Ocean Pines, MD. We were married in 1978 and have two beautiful daughters, Megan and Abby. I was born and raised in West Mifflin, Pa., just southeast of Pittsburgh. My extensive retail career resulted in my family and I becoming a very mobil group through the years. Since graduating college in 1972, I have lived on the Monteray Peninsula in California; in Cincinnati, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Columbia, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; and Hagerstown, Maryland. In addition to our two daughters, my extended family now includes my dog Augie as well as my kid's dogs Lucy, Lily, Bentley and Charlie! Despite all of my various work locations, Jim has always been a die hard Pittsburgher! My Mom was one of 9 children and my Dad, one of eight. Weddings and reunions have always meant a great time and a wonderful gathering of aunts, uncles and cousins in numbers approaching 200 people! This strong sense of family continues on today, making my family the strong people that they are!
