Question: There is a $30,000 mortgage left on our house.The house if worth $250,000.If a buyer pays the $250,000,do we have to pay off the $30,000 or does the buyer do that and we get the full $250,000?My husband says we would have to pay off the $30,000 out of the $250,000 we sold for.
