Whiskey Row is in the heart of  Prescott, AZ. If  you've never been to Whiskey Row, it is a flat out fun place to visit; cowboy honky tonks and the likes.  Its name is (you've probably guessed) because of all the saloons along Montazuma Street.  There were many more back in the "old days."  In fact, in the late 1800's, there were at least 40.  Then, a fire wiped out the entire block in 1900 and a local ordinace was put into place that halted the amount of bars being rebuilt.  Believe me, though, there are still plenty to stop in and wet your whistle. Don't get the wrong idea, though. I love learning the history of a town! Whenever we're traveling, bumping down the road to the our next destination, we quite often will just hit an off-ramp to an out-of-the-way place that has caught our eye. Maybe it's an old cemertary (which I have to visit).
